When it comes to eyeliner styles, initially we need to understand that there are different kinds of eye shapes and its respective pros and cons to deal with. We need to elevate the strong best features, and redeem the cons that weakens our best prides.

Festival times seems great opportunity where there are many social gathering and event affairs to pay our visit at and when such occasions come by, we need to create a statement as we greet. Clearly, what is the another best way to express, better than eyes? I say.

'Eyes are the gateway to the soul'. Now, when someone notices your eyes anyway, why not make it more engaging? Lets make it worth their while by beautifying it with 'My Top high-five' looks on eyeliner styles, for festive season. Simple and in forever trend, for every eye-shaped chick personality.

Basic eyeliner with a line of glitter : Fun, stylish and unexpected, this wear of art that has a simple bold jet black on its upper and little sparkling-something-look on the lower, is contrary and represents dual personality; it says about someone who likes to keep fashion safe but is also playful and always in a happy-go-lucky mood. Wear lighter outfits, if you want to take it all, at the eyes level attention. A tint of coloured balm would suffice the whole look.

Best wear : Classic almond eyes or medium to large eyes. It just shows off and compliments the bigger eyes by such decoration. Round eyes look even more fresh and awake. Overall suitable for every eye shapes, but girls with small eyes should avoid.

                       

   

2. Winged eyeliner : Elegance and glamorous, almost like a cat-eye style, only it has nothing to do with lower line. It is a real work to get it done perfectly, isn't it? But, take it as no pain, no gain; well but of course till you get a hand of it. It makes a simple straight statement that announces yours own  stunning and ravishing individuality as well. Adored by many in every eye shapes, this is a favourite of mine personally! It defines our eyes and makes it look bigger. Best with pink shades of lipstick for fairer tones and red for bronzers.

Best wear : Eyes that look flat or are smaller, monolid type. As it has flat surface, winged lift would help create an illusion of its lift, making it appear wider. Make sure you don't raise that lift too long, it would end up looking like the actress in black swan movie.

                         

3. Graphic eyeliner : When you think of newness, graphic styles it is. Really unique and dramatic, this is really for a girl whose bold herself and knows how to carry any fashion work. This modern art is trending and becoming the talk of the town, including the girls trying. It makes the eyes look sensuous and arty, best for evening party look. Any gradient shades or vibrant colour of lipstick compliments with the eyes.

Best wear : There are varieties in graphic styles, but since it is thicker and bold most often, it should help girls with the hooded eyes. These eyes have an extra layer of skin dropping down that minimises their definition, and creativity should just pull it off. Suited for every eyes depending on the pick of style.

                        

4. All the way around eyeliner : It is - swipe up, swipe down and meet the two corner ends style. Traditionally worn by maximum women of India on festive days; cause apart from that it is just Kajal on the lower as a repetitive casual eye make up routine. This signifies sweet and sober style out of all five I have chosen, if not used in thicker way. I do not mean goth make up at all. Use liquid eyeliner with thin brush or marker pen-alike to give clean finished look. Gloss lipsticks should be a best friend when applied this style - as when eyes have matte on it, the lips should be covered up little glossy. We don't want dry look on the eyes and eventually on the lips, same time!

Best wear : Larger eyes or wide set eyes. Not preferable for eyes that are small, it will tend to look more smaller. Wide set eyes are more than one eyeball width apart, so to bring them closer; apply a bit thicker eyeliner from medium till the nose to diminish some of the space.

                       

5. Double eyeliner : Beautiful style when it comes to Indian festivals, where everything is radiant and bright. It's a work done only on upper line, but double times - one after above. Black and pink or pink and gold, take your pick and you certainly will look like you have somewhere to go, attend something festive. Not for casual wear. Jewellery and accessories appreciates well with this kind of style. Nude shades of lipstick goes spectacular with colourful on the top, balancing it out.

Best wear : Medium to smaller eyes. If you want to give your eyes bigger look, use lighter colour shades like white or silver. But if you have bigger eyes already, needn't worry to flaunt it with any colour you wish. Although, remember darker shade should be applied first and then lighter on the above. Darker shade will control in keeping your defining look and above it, let any colour crown as per your mood!
