Fashion: What should you wear at gym?

Comfort is the only criteria when it comes to clothing for gym. Any activity you choose to perform, the ultimate priority should be given to efficient clothing with etiquette style. Whether you are a lady-like or not, your appearance will affect your reputation in the society. To guard yourself from misconceptions on dressing at gym, here are few pointers to have a look at :

Types of gym wear :

1. T-shirts: Be playful with colors, highlight yourself with florescent neon or stay with the typical greys. Any T-shirt you pick out for yourself, make sure it's not tight or too loose. T-shirts that give you flexibility around neck, chest and armpits is what you should be looking for. Soft cotton or moisture-wicking materials are ideal fabrics for your skin. Avoid scoop or V neck, chances are; it will come out as inappropriate if it gets loosen up, wanting you to leave gym soon and we don't want that.

2. Tank tops/ Basketball jersey: Looking good makes you feel better, isn't it? Flattering outfits motivates and boosts you to workout more energetically. Thus, increasing high performance and reaching your goal. Caution! Don't give anybody the free ticket to watch your assets though. Try it out at home before you hit the gym.

3. Sweatpants/ Shorts: As you will need to do lot of moving, it is best suitable to wear sweatpants with ankle length which is not baggy. Whereas, about shorts - it can be used where minimum exercise is required or when you boxercise. But remember, not to put it on your weight lifting day! Go for universally recognized tip - wear black, navy or dark grey pants/shorts to make your thighs look thinner.

4. Tights/Capri pants: Fitted tights comes at great use in sports like bicycle riding and running. Also, it does not come in your way while you are on treadmill. Lycra tights are best while doing Pilates and yoga, as there is lots of flexibility needed and it gives you huge amount of freedom with accessibility in comfort. Overall, a must pick for any exercise perhaps.

5. Skirt leggings: Here's what I found was new! Do you like wearing skirt but too conservative? Or too conscious about your hip curves? This thing is a tight with skirt wrapped on! Feel girly and let no exercise make you shy away. Shake it and sweat it with dance moves and don't care about the lines. Focus on your training, not your outfit.

6. Pullovers/ Hoodies/ Jackets: Love outdoor activities too? Put on your hoodies and jackets, while you run in that cold breezy wind. Jackets are most preferable as it hugs you the tightest compared to others fabrics, combating the chills from getting inside. However, hoodies and pullovers can come handy inside the gym as well, if you want to create that extra sweating to help you burn calories and reduce water weight. It traps the heat, giving warmth to your muscles, joints and ligaments which improves circulation.

1. Sports bra are a must for voluptuous women, it has to be supportive as you move along and stay intact.
2. Choose shoes that have mesh uppers for ventilation. Soccer cleats, golf shoes, court shoes, running shoes all work well.
3. Fabrics such as Coolmax, Dri-FIT, Supplex doesn't leave you with sweaty feeling as it wicks all sweat away from the skin. It's the better option!
4. Avoid wearing polyester or similar clothing, it will cause rashes if you have sensitive skin.
